Individual Art Therapy and Counselling

As a cancer survivor everything you’re feeling right now is normal. The ups and downs, the good days and the not so good days.

Some of the things concerning you right now may include:

  • feeling upset, sad or angry
  • worries about the future
  • relationship problems
  • feeling stuck and not sure what to do
  • worry about your body and how it looks
  • changing priorities about what’s important

In times of illness, loss, and transition, finding a way to make sense of your experience can be so important. Art therapy gets to the heart of things, helping you clarify issues and see things from a different perspective.

Individual art therapy and counselling can help you:

  • develop coping skills to deal with emotional overwhelm
  • learn effective strategies to manage your fears about recurrence of illness
  • enhance your communication skills to benefit all your relationships
  • find meaning and purpose so you can love your life
  • learn to trust your body again and experience greater self-confidence
  • recognise and celebrate your achievements (especially the small things)

Individual sessions are 60 minutes.

If your treatment is over, it’s important to give yourself time to get back to being you again.
